Founded in the fall of 2008, the Louisiana Lugnuts has been dedicated to fostering a competitive, healthy baseball environment for boys ages 6-14 in the greater Baton Rouge area. We believe that sports unite people, creating a sense of camaraderie and teamwork that strengthens our community.
At Louisiana Lugnuts, our goal is to help athletes reach their full potential. Each player is evaluated and placed on a team that matches their skills, with opportunities to compete at AA, AAA, and Major levels. Our coaches focus on lessons that extend beyond the game, instilling values that will serve our players in school, in their communities, and throughout life. We expect our athletes to lead both on and off the field, embodying the spirit of the Lugnuts.

What do we mean by that? Competition is defined as striving to gain or win something by defeating or establishing superiority over others who are trying to do the same. No matter the sport, when an athlete suits up in preparation for competition, they do so with the intention of being victorious. Everybody wants to win, but will everyone do what it takes to deserve to win? Things like, good attitude and effort at practice, extra work at home, finding a way to get reps when the weather is bad, never making excuses just working harder, and when the time comes to step between the lines, be a respectful teammate and opponent. Victories are earned, not given, and, in 2025, our Lugnuts teams will have the attitude and work ethic to "Deserve Victory."
